Neeta Singh
Born in India, Neeta Singh is an Indian classical singer and dancer. She specializes in the South Indian classical forms Carnatic vocal, Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam and North Indian Classical forms Hindustani vocal, Bhajan and Ghazals. Neeta has performed regularly on stage, radio and television in India from the age of six, and at venues in the Malaysia since 2002. She is also a passionate teacher and enjoys a growing student following in Kuala Lumpur. Neeta was introduced to music at the early age of five under the tutorage of Smt Vatsala Ramaswamy. During her youth, she found her guru in Smt. Savitri Annaji and Sri Kollegal Subramaniam Shastri. Neeta started learning Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam at the age of 5 under tutorage of Late Sri. Shanmugam Pillai and found her guru in Mrs. Sarita Dilip in 1992. In 1996, Neeta started her rigorous training under famous vocalist and acclaimed Ghazal maestro Pundit Vittal Rao. Pundit Vittal Rao is disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, and one of the few living maestros of Ghazals. Well versed in many Indian languages including Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Gujarati, Neeta has a Master degree in English Literature. She has done Praveshika Poorna in Carnatic classical music and has Diploma in Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam Dance from Potti Sri Ramulu Telgu University, India
